Brett D. ThombsPhD
Dr. Brett Thombs is a Professor and William Dawson Scholar, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University and Senior Investigator, Lady Davis Institute of the Jewish General Hospital, in Montreal, Quebec. He is the Chair-elect of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care. He is the Founder and Director of the Scleroderma Patient-centered Intervention Network, an international collaboration designed to develop an infrastructure for ongoing testing of patient education, self-management, psychosocial and rehabilitation interventions in a rare disease context. Dr. Thombs also conducts evidence reviews on mental health and behavioural interventions in medical settings and investigates how research methods may affect the applicability of research to clinical settings.
