Mark Shew, MD, CCFP
Dr. Mark Shew is a family physician in Scarborough, Ontario. He is a clinical lecturer at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Shew was involved with the Division of Foodborne, Waterborne and Environmental Diseases at the Centre of Disease Control and Prevention as part of their CDC Epidemiology Elective Program. He helped with the outbreak control and investigation of a Botulism outbreak in a Utah State Prison, which resulted in an understanding of the risk factors of Botulism in a prison setting. His interests include screening, preventive medicine & early diagnosis of diseases in a primary care setting. He currently teaches medical students at the Family Medicine Longitudinal Experience program at the University of Toronto.
