MINUTES
1. Welcome and Introductions
The Task Force held its October 2023 meeting in-person and virtually. Dr. Thériault opened the meeting and Task Force members approved the agenda. Brief guidelines on the proceedings of the meeting were provided.
2. Breast Cancer Update
Mr. Traversy provided a summary of the Knowledge Exchange event, StatsCan data, breast cancer screening submission portal and other information sources.
3. Breast Cancer – KQ1 Evidence
Ms. Bennett presented and answered questions on the evidence for key question 1 (KQ1).
4. Knowledge Translation Update
Ms. Beckett and Ms. Lajante presented an update on the knowledge translation (KT) activities related to the breast cancer screening update.
5.Breast Cancer – KQ2 Evidence
Ms. Pillay presented and answered questions on the evidence for key question 2 (KQ2).
6. Breast Cancer – KQ3 Evidence
Ms. Pillay presented and answered questions on the evidence for key question 3 (KQ3).
7. Breast Cancer – Modelling Evidence
Mr. Van Katwyk, Mr. Locke from the Institute of Health Economics (IHE) and Ms. Tessier from the Science team presented and answered questions on the OncoSim modelling.
8. Methods Update
Ms. Subnath informed the Task Force on updates from the methods WG.
9. Next Steps and Adjournment
Drs Abou-Setta and Thériault thanked everyone for attending. The October 2023 Task Force meeting was adjourned.
