The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care would like to provide an update on its comprehensive evidence-based review of the 2018 breast cancer screening guideline.
Given the volume and complexity of the workload, the evidence review and modelling teams have requested more time to complete their task, using international best practices to evaluate evidence. As such, we are now targeting a spring 2024 release date for updated recommendations.
The Task Force remains steadfast in its commitment to developing evidence-based guidelines to support the health and well-being of Canadians.
