Ashraf Sefin

Dr. Ashraf Sefin, MSc, PhD, MD, CCFP, is a seasoned family physician with clinical appointments at the Grandview Family Health Team in Cambridge, ON, and the Hamilton Urban Core Clinic in Hamilton, ON. Prior to moving to Ontario in 2010, he spent two decades practicing medicine in Egypt, where he also held a professorship in public health, epidemiology, and occupational medicine at Ain Shams University.

Dr. Sefin is deeply committed to preventive health and chronic disease management. His extensive experience is further applied in his roles as Vice-Chair of the Quality Assurance Committee at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and as an Assistant Professor at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University. In these roles, Dr. Sefin concentrates on bridging clinical practice with health policy, endeavoring to shape the next generation of family physicians by leveraging his academic medical expertise.
