Call For Patient and Public Input

Would you like to give input on national screening guidelines?

The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (Task Force) is updating their national screening guidelines for prostate cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and hepatitis C. The Task Force prioritizes patient and public involvement in guideline development and is looking for patients and members of the public to help make screening guidelines that are patient-centred and practical. We are looking for people with a range of experiences. So whether you have or have not been diagnosed with these conditions, please apply!

What is the role?

The Task Force engages patients and the public in a variety of ways. Currently, we are recruiting patients and members of the public to:

  1. Participate in the guideline working groups. This involves attending meetings about once or twice a month, reviewing relevant materials, and sharing your perspectives.
  2. Provide input at specific time(s) on a specific topic related to the guideline (for example, on the benefits and harms of screening).

Selected individuals will be compensated.

These roles have important eligibility criteria. Please review the criteria and apply only if you meet each criteria.
