RECOMMENDATIONS

  • The Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care (CTFPHC) recommends influenza vaccination in healthy adults and children. (Grade A recommendation)
  • There is good evidence to support neuraminidase inhibitor prophylaxis against influenza in the household setting if it can be initiated within 36-48 hours of symptom onset in the index case. (Grade A recommendation)
